Then comes the "specialized" necros, like pukers, tripods, and exploders. The next step is slashers these are designed to kill more things and spread the infestation more quickly. This substance speeds the transformation from corpse to necro. The Marker broadcasts a DNA sequence that alters the genetics of the dead cells, and gives them new life, making them alive (so long as they stay so-and-so close to the Marker.) The infectors then kill other life forms, and inject a purple-black substance into the forehead or other part of the victim. Then, when a death occurs in an area so-and-so close to the Marker, an infector is made. But I can explain this necromorphs are not alien life, they don't even "appear." The first signs of an infestation is the growth of "corruption", a substance composed of dead skin cells and other organic material. I would love to know what people think and constructive criticism is always welcome.I was explaining all of the history, but I realized I had a couple of paragraphs, and a lot more to go, so all I can say is look on the dead space wiki. The black one was for me because it had more than a few casting bubbles and cracks, while the red marker is for a friend. I gave each it's own simple paint job then clear coated them with a matte finish. Each model is 7 in tall and resin slush cast, then filled with plaster to give them enough weight to not feel like cheap toys. The model I made is closer to the desktop statues you can see in the game because the few pictures of the collector's edition marker I could find, looked a bit too chunky and awkward. Sadly I was unable to find one to purchase for myself, so I decided to make one. I loved the way the markers were presented throughout the games so I wanted to have one for myself. I've only recently come into the series of Dead Space and I've enjoyed it's lore quite a bit.
